Chinese activated carbon manufacturer prices remained firm this month. The factory price for coconut shell water purification activated carbon (iodine value 1000) is between 11,500-13,500 CNY/ton. The mainstream tax-inclusive factory price for iodine value 800 is about 9,500 CNY/ton, and the price for iodine value 900 is 9,800-10,200 CNY/ton. In traditional fields such as water treatment, air purification, and gold extraction, the demand for coconut shell activated carbon remains strong, and downstream enterprises have a strong willingness to purchase high-quality coconut shell activated carbon.

From January 1, 2026, the global maritime policy for coconut shell char has undergone a fundamental change: coconut shell char must be declared and transported as hazardous material, with the new regulations eliminating exemptions. Chinese coconut shell activated carbon enterprises are about to face increased costs and compliance challenges. Factors such as tight raw material supply, rising costs, and stable demand may keep the activated carbon market at a high level.

Forecast: The demand for coconut shell activated carbon in China is expected to recover, and it is predicted that the price of activated carbon may mainly follow a strong fluctuating trend in the short term.
