Inmanar Announces Several BreakthroughSequencing Innovations

2022-10-24

Over five years of research anddevelopment, more than 40 patent applications, and bringing together 1,500outstanding scientists, engineers, developers and designers from around theworld to officially launch the new NovaSeq X Series and other breakthroughtechnologies, said Francis deSouza, CEO of Inmena.

The NovaSeq™ 6000 Dx is introduced as thefirst FDA-registered and CE-approved in vitro diagnostic (IVD) high-throughputsequencer capable of meeting ultra-high compliance standards and providingactionable insights into patient medical care.

Illumina Complete Long-Reads (formerlyknown as: Infinity) will accelerate coverage of the remaining 5% of generegions with scalable, high-throughput, low DNA starting volume long-readlength technology. In addition, the technology provides a complete and accuratepresentation of the genome at the single-molecule level without the need for anew platform. And it can also provide continuous long read lengths, therebycovering critical gaps.

Francis deSouza said that two applicationproducts and a complete end-to-end workflow will be available in 2023. Thefirst product, currently in the sneak preview phase, is a genome-wide analysisproduct that uses longer contiguous read lengths to further extend the existing30x genome coverage and completeness. The second product is an enrichment panelthat targets only hard to map genomic regions. When this panel is sequencedsimultaneously with the 30x standard genome on NovaSeq 6000 and NovaSeq X seriessequencing systems, it significantly increases sequencing capacity and reducescosts, outperforming existing long read length technologies on the market forhuman whole genome sequencing.

The first NovaSeq X series (NovaSeq X andNovaSeq X Plus) is said to usher in the genomic era with groundbreaking newindustrial-scale sequencing that will push the limits of genomic medicine andenable faster, more efficient and sustainable sequencing.
