Malaria is an infectious disease caused by Plasmodium parasites parasitizing the human body. It is transmitted through the bite of anopheles mosquitoes or the transfusion of blood from people carrying Plasmodium parasites. Different Plasmodium parasites cause vivax malaria, malaria malariae, falciparum malaria and ovale malaria. The main manifestations of this disease are periodic and regular attacks, with chills, fever and sweating all over the body. After long-term and multiple attacks, it can cause anemia and splenomegaly. The incidence rate is high in children, and it is mostly prevalent in summer and autumn. Malaria is prevalent in 102 countries and regions, especially in some countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central and South America. The mortality rate of falciparum malaria is extremely high.
