Chronic cor pulmonale
Chronic cor pulmonale is a heart disease caused by chronic lesions of the lung tissue, pulmonary artery or thorax, which leads to abnormalities in the structure and function of the lung tissue, increased pulmonary vascular resistance, increased pulmonary artery pressure, and right heart dilation and hypertrophy, with or without right heart failure.
