Infrared injury
The wavelength is 760nm to 4000000nm, which occurs in the sun or hot objects. The long-wave part does not damage the tissue. It can be focused by lenses or reflectors, or dispersed by prisms. The biological effect of infrared rays is mainly thermal effect. Infrared rays are easily absorbed by dark objects. High-intensity infrared rays cause tissue necrosis and protein coagulation. Far infrared rays can only penetrate 0.5cm to the left of the tissue and are almost completely absorbed by the cornea and aqueous humor. Near infrared rays can penetrate 3 to 1cm of tissue and reach the retina, where they are absorbed by pigments in the iris and retina.
