Quinones are formed by the abnormal metabolism of tryptophan, an important functional amino acid in the body. The effect of such quinones on soluble proteins in the lens can be competitively inhibited by pyrenoxetine sodium. In addition, pyrenoxetine sodium can also fight against cataracts caused by free radical damage to the lens. Therefore, this product has a certain inhibitory effect on the development of cataracts. Animal experiments have shown that pyrenoxetine sodium can reduce the incidence of posterior capsule opacity after extracapsular cataract extraction.

Main ingredient: Sodium pyrenoxine Chemical name: 1-hydroxy-5-oxo-5H-pyrido-[3,2-?]-phenoxazine-3-carboxylic acid; molecular formula and molecular weight: C16H18N2O5, 308.25.

It is mainly used to treat early senile cataracts, mild diabetic cataracts or complicated cataracts.

Apply in eyes, 3 to 4 times a day, 1 to 2 drops each time.

A very small number of patients may experience mild eye irritation.
