Hepatic cavernous hemangioma is a relatively common benign liver tumor. In addition to the skin and mucous membranes, the liver is the most common site for cavernous hemangioma. It can be single or multiple, with or without a pedicle, and is often seen on the surface of the liver. Its size ranges from the tip of a needle to the size of a walnut or a child's head. In severe cases, it can occupy the entire liver and bulge significantly into the abdomen. The tumor is soft in texture, with a honeycomb-like cross-section, filled with blood, elastic, and compressible. The tumor does not produce any symptoms when it first occurs, but as it grows, it causes a series of symptoms due to compression of surrounding organs, and can also lead to complications such as heart failure. As the tumor gradually increases in size, if it is not treated, it may rupture and cause heavy bleeding.
