Prune-belly syndrome is a congenital abdominal muscle deficiency syndrome, also known as Obrinsky syndrome, Froelich syndrome, prune belly syndrome, and red belly syndrome. It is a very rare congenital developmental abnormality. It refers to the severe underdevelopment or even complete absence of some or all of the abdominal muscles of the patient, which may be accompanied by giant renal cysts, giant ureters, renal dysplasia, cryptorchidism, etc. Because this disease has three common symptoms: lack of abdominal muscles, urinary tract malformations, and cryptorchidism, it is also called the "triad". This disease was first reported by Guthrie and Parker in 1896, and Osier named it Prunebelly syndrome in 1901.
