Erythema multiforme exudativum (EME) is an acute exudative inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes, also known as erythema multiforme (EM). Since the disease has the prominent feature of exudation, it should be more accurately called erythema multiforme exudative; the name of the disease fully summarizes it.

Multiple Sclerosis
In the treatment of acute exacerbations of multiple sclerosis daily doses of 200 mg of prednisolone for a week followed by 80 mg every other day for 1 month have been shown to be effective. (Dosage range is the same for prednisone and prednisolone.)
