Chronic salpingitis
The hypertrophy of the fallopian tube and the accumulation of pus and water in the fallopian tube caused by chronic salpingitis are one of the important causes of female infertility. The cause of salpingitis is the upward spread of infection from the lower reproductive tract, which may present as chronic inflammatory changes due to inappropriate and incomplete treatment.
