Cephalexin Tablets
The main ingredient of this product is cephalexin, and its chemical name is (6R,7R)-3-methyl-7-[(R)-2-amino-2-phenylacetylamino]-8-oxo-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid monohydrate.

Cephalexin

Cephalexin is a first-generation cephalosporin with an antibacterial spectrum similar to that of cephalothin, but its antibacterial activity is poorer than that of the latter. Except for Enterococcus and methicillin-resistant Staphylococci, most strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, hemolytic Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus aureus that produces or does not produce penicillinase are sensitive to this product. This product has a good antibacterial effect on Neisseria, but Haemophilus influenzae is less sensitive to this product; this product has a certain antibacterial effect on some Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella and Shigella. The remaining Enterobacteriaceae, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Bacteroides fragilis are resistant to this product. Fusobacterium and Veillonella are generally sensitive to this product, and anaerobic Gram-positive cocci are moderately sensitive to this product.

By blocking the membrane transport of calcium ions in myocardial and vascular smooth muscle, inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into cells, it causes a decrease in myocardial contractility and vasodilation. Animal experiments have shown that by reducing myocardial contractility and peripheral vascular resistance, myocardial oxygen consumption is reduced; by dilating coronary vessels and developing collateral circulation, the oxygen supply to myocardial ischemic sites is increased; by inhibiting the consumption of high-energy phosphate compounds, the ability to resist hypoxia is enhanced.

Glipizide Tablets

Glipizide

This product is a second-generation sulfonylurea antidiabetic drug, which is effective for most patients with type 2 diabetes. It can reduce fasting and postprandial blood sugar and reduce glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc) by 1% to 2%. The main function of this type of drug is to stimulate pancreatic b cells to secrete insulin, but the prerequisite is that pancreatic b cells still have a certain function of synthesizing and secreting insulin. Its mechanism is to specifically bind to the sulfonylurea receptor on the b cell membrane, thereby closing the K channel, causing changes in membrane potential, opening the Ca2 channel, and increasing intracytoplasmic Ca2, which promotes insulin secretion. In addition, there are extra-pancreatic effects, including improving the insulin resistance of peripheral tissues (such as liver, muscle, and fat).

It is a potent and highly selective competitive antagonist of 5-hydroxytryptamine 3 (5-HT3) receptors in peripheral neurons and the central nervous system. It inhibits the vomiting reflex mainly by selectively blocking the presynaptic 5-HT3 receptors of peripheral neurons. In addition, its antiemetic effect may also be related to its inhibition of the stimulation of the vagus nerve in the rear region by directly blocking the central 5-HT3 receptors.
