Cephalexin Capsules
The main ingredient of this product is cephalexin, and its chemical name is (6R,7R)-3-methyl-7-[(R)-2-amino-2-phenylacetylamino]-8-oxo-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid monohydrate.

Cephalexin

Cephalexin is a first-generation cephalosporin with an antibacterial spectrum similar to that of cephalothin, but its antibacterial activity is poorer than that of the latter. Except for Enterococcus and methicillin-resistant Staphylococci, most strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, hemolytic Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus aureus that produces or does not produce penicillinase are sensitive to this product. This product has a good antibacterial effect on Neisseria, but Haemophilus influenzae is less sensitive to this product; this product has a certain antibacterial effect on some Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella and Shigella. The remaining Enterobacteriaceae, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Bacteroides fragilis are resistant to this product. Fusobacterium and Veillonella are generally sensitive to this product, and anaerobic Gram-positive cocci are moderately sensitive to this product.

Clavulanic acid

It has a β-lactam structure similar to penicillin and has only weak antibacterial activity itself, but it can inactivate enzymes produced by many bacteria by blocking the active site of β-lactamase, especially the clinically important plasmid-mediated β-lactamase.

Cefixime

This product is an oral third-generation cephalosporin with a broad antibacterial spectrum. It has antibacterial activity against some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, especially against Streptococcus (except Enterococcus) and Pneumococcus among Gram-positive bacteria, and gonococci, Branhamella, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Serratia, Proteus, and influenza bacilli among Gram-negative bacteria. Its mechanism of action is bactericidal. This product has strong stability against beta-lactamase produced by various bacteria, and shows superior antibacterial activity against bacteria that produce beta-lactamase. The mechanism of action of this product is to prevent the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. Its point of action varies depending on the type of bacteria, and it has a high affinity with 1 (1a, 1b, 1c) and 3 in penicillin-binding protein (PBP).
