Compound Toin Ephedrine and Theophylline Tablets
Function and Efficacy
This product is a compound preparation mainly based on phenytoin sodium and containing a variety of drugs with different mechanisms of action. Its main mechanism of action is: inhibiting the influx of Na and Ca2 ions across the cell membrane, producing a cell membrane stabilizing effect on excitable cells such as bronchial smooth muscle and inflammatory cells; ephedrine hydrochloride stimulates beta;2 receptors, promotes the release of norepinephrine from nerve endings, enhances the contraction of the diaphragm, and is beneficial to improving respiratory function. Belladonna fluid extract and chlorpheniramine maleate can block the choline M receptors and histamine H1 receptors of bronchial smooth muscle, respectively, and relax bronchial smooth muscle. In addition, this product also has the effects of stimulating alpha; receptors on airway vascular smooth muscle, contracting airway blood vessels, inhibiting congestion and edema; inhibiting the release of allergic mediators, reducing capillary permeability; reducing viscosity by changing mucin synthesis; promoting airway ciliary movement, and enhancing diaphragmatic contraction. There is a good synergistic effect between the components of this product. Experiments have shown that this product has a good effect on histamine and acetylcholine. It has a significant antiasthmatic effect on asthma caused by antigens, and has a significant antitussive effect on various experimental coughs. This product also has a certain expectorant effect.
