Function and Efficacy
Reduced glutathione (GSH) is a peptide naturally synthesized in human cytoplasm. It is composed of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine, contains sulfhydryl (-SH) and is widely distributed in various organs of the body. It has played an important role in maintaining the biological functions of cells. It is the cofactor of glyceraldehyde phosphate dehydrogenase, and the coenzyme of glyoxalase and triose dehydrogenase. It participates in the tricarboxylic acid cycle and sugar metabolism in the body. This product can activate a variety of enzymes [such as sulfhydryl (-SH) enzymes, etc.], thereby promoting the metabolism of sugar, fat and protein, and can affect the metabolic process of cells; it can combine with free radicals in the body through sulfhydryl groups, and can be converted into easily metabolized acids to accelerate the excretion of free radicals, which helps to reduce the toxic side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and has no obvious effect on the efficacy of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. For example, the main mechanism for protecting renal tubules from damage by cisplatin is that the renal tubular cells contain r-glutamyl aminotransferase required for glutathione detoxification, but the renal cells do not have this enzyme, so it does not affect the cytotoxic effect of this product while protecting normal tissues and organs. It is also effective in treating radiation enteritis; it can reduce tissue damage and promote repair in patients with systemic or local hypoxemia caused by anemia, poisoning or tissue inflammation. Through transmethylation and transpropylamination reactions, GSH can also protect the liver's synthesis, detoxification, and hormone inactivation functions, and promote bile acid metabolism, which is beneficial to the absorption of fat and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) in the digestive tract.

Appearance
This medicine is a white crystalline powder and is prepared with 3 or 4 mL of solvent.
Indication
1) Liver injury: viral liver disease, drug-induced liver disease, toxic liver injury, fatty liver, cirrhosis, etc.; 2) Kidney injury: acute drug-induced kidney injury, uremia; 3) Chemotherapy and radiotherapy protection; 4) Diabetes: complications, neuropathy; 5) Ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy; various hypoxemias.
Usage and Dosage
It can be used as an adjuvant drug for chemotherapy (cisplatin, cyclophosphamide, azithromycin, daunorubicin, bleomycin), which can reduce the damage caused by chemotherapy without affecting the efficacy, thereby increasing the dose of chemotherapy. The first dose is 1500mg/m2, dissolved in 100ml of normal saline or 5% GS, intravenous infusion within 15 minutes, and intramuscular injection on the 2nd to 5th day, 600mg per day. After cyclophosphamide treatment, intravenous infusion for 15 minutes should be given immediately to reduce the impact of chemotherapy on the urinary system. For cisplatin treatment, the dose of reduced glutathione should not exceed 35mg/mg cisplatin to avoid affecting chemotherapy. Or follow the doctor's advice. It can be used as an adjuvant treatment for liver damage caused by alcohol, viruses, drugs and other chemicals. For viral hepatitis, 1200mg, qd, iv, 30 days; severe hepatitis, 1200-2400mg, qd, iv, 30 days; active cirrhosis, 1200mg, qd, iv, 30 days; fatty liver, 1800mg, qd, iv, 30 days; alcoholic hepatitis, 1800mg, qd, iv, 14-30 days; drug-induced hepatitis, 1200-1800mg, qd, iv, 14-30 days. For radiotherapy adjuvant medication, after irradiation, the dose is 1500mg/m2, or follow the doctor's advice. For the treatment of hypoxemia, the dose is 1500mg/m2, dissolved in 100ml of normal saline, intravenous administration, and then 300-600mg intramuscular injection every day to maintain. The product (300-600mg) must be completely dissolved in the dissolving solution when injected intramuscularly, and the dissolving solution must be clear and colorless. For intravenous administration, the drug can be dissolved in a dissolving solution and then slowly injected. Intravenous drip administration requires at least 20 ml of dissolving solution.
Adverse Reactions
Even with high doses and long-term use, there are few adverse reactions. Sudden rash is rare.

Drug Interactions
This product should not be mixed with vitamin B12, menadione, calcium pantothenate, orotic acid, antihistamines, sulfonamides and tetracycline.
