Appearance
This product is white or nearly white crystalline powder, round, convex, 6 mm in diameter.
Usage and Dosage
It is suitable for the treatment of early Parkinson's disease when taken alone or in combination with levodopa/peripheral dopa decarboxylase inhibitors. The starting dose of both is 5 mg, taken in the morning, and the dose of this drug can be increased to 10 mg/day (taken once in the morning or divided into 2 doses). If the patient has side effects similar to levodopa when taking levodopa preparations in combination, the dose of levodopa should be reduced.
Adverse Reactions
This drug is well tolerated when taken alone. There are reports that patients taking this drug have dry mouth, transient increases in serum transaminase values, and the incidence of sleep disorders (such as insomnia) is higher than that of patients taking placebo. Because this drug can increase the effect of levodopa, the side effects of levodopa will also increase. When patients who have taken the maximum tolerated dose of levodopa add this drug to treatment, they may experience involuntary movements, nausea, agitation, confusion, hallucinations, headaches, orthostatic hypotension, and dizziness. Dysuria and rash have also been reported. Therefore, potential side effects should be monitored, and when this drug is added to treatment, the dose of levodopa should be reduced by an average of 30%.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to the ingredients of this medicine.

Drug Interactions
1. No hypertensive reaction was found when the dose of midoproterenol used to treat Parkinson's disease was taken simultaneously with foods containing tyramine. 2. This product may cause severe hypotension when used in combination with non-selective monoamine oxidase inhibitors. 3. There are no reports of drug resistance when taken simultaneously with the monoamine oxidase A inhibitor moclobemide. However, taking such drugs (MAOA and MAOB inhibitors) and tyramine substances (such as tyramine-containing foods such as fermented foods and beverages, cheese, sausages, cured meats, game, liver, beef broth, salted fish, beans and peas, sauerkraut and yeast products) at the same time will slightly increase the hypertensive reaction. 4. There are no detailed reports in the literature on the simultaneous use of this product and moclobemide, and these two drugs should not be taken at the same time. 5. There are reports of severe reactions such as ataxia, tremor, etc. when taking midoproterenol and fluoxetine simultaneously.
