Usage and Dosage

Oral or tube feeding. When feeding by tube feeding, a feeding tube is first inserted into the stomach, duodenum or upper part of the jejunum. The normal drip rate is 100-125 ml per hour (the drip rate should be slow at the beginning), and the dosage is determined by the doctor's prescription according to the patient's needs. 1 For general patients, 2000kcal per day can meet the body's nutritional needs. 2 For patients with high metabolism (burns, multiple trauma), 4000kcal can be used per day to adapt to the body's increased energy demand, or products with an energy density of 1.5kcal/ml can be used. 3 For patients who are feeding their first gastrointestinal tract, the initial dose is best to start with 1000kcal per day and gradually increase to the required amount within 2-3 days. If the patient's tolerance is poor, it can also be started with a low concentration of 0.75kcal/ml to allow the body to gradually adapt. The low energy density specification of this product makes it easier for medical staff to control the energy input rate, and is more suitable for patients who are sensitive to energy intake, such as diabetes. 4 If the patient is unwilling or unable to take in too much fluid, such as patients with insufficient heart or kidney function, in order to meet the body's energy requirements, products with an energy density of 1.5kcal/ml may be used as appropriate. 5 This product should be used at room temperature. Shake well before opening. For those who are suitable for full concentration infusion, this product should not be diluted. The operation process must be cautious to ensure the sterility of the product.
