Indication

It is suitable for middle-aged and elderly non-insulin-dependent (i.e. type Ⅱ) diabetes that cannot be ideally controlled by diet therapy alone. It is especially suitable for type Ⅱ diabetes patients with poor renal function, diabetics over 60 years old, those who have repeated hypoglycemia while taking other oral diabetes drugs, and those who only need a small dose of oral drugs to control postprandial hyperglycemia. It can be used in combination with intermediate-acting or long-acting insulin. Those with secondary failure of oral diabetes drugs and those with poor efficacy of other sulfonyl drugs can still try to switch to this product.

Usage and Dosage

Oral: Daily dose 15-120 mg, taken before meals. Usually, if the daily dose is less than 30 mg, take it once in the morning. Larger doses should be taken in the morning and evening. The maximum single dose should not exceed 60 mg, and the effect is better if taken 3 times a day. </p

Adverse Reactions

This product is generally well tolerated, and very few people have skin allergic reactions, gastrointestinal reactions, mild hypoglycemia reactions and changes in the blood system.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for patients with insulin dependence, pre-diabetic coma, diabetes combined with acidosis or ketosis, allergy to sulfonamides, and gestational diabetes.

Drug Interactions

1. The effect of this product can be enhanced when used in combination with salicylates, sulfonamides, phenylbutazone, anti-tuberculosis drugs, tetracyclines, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, b-receptor blockers, chloramphenicol, dicoumarols and cyclophosphamide. 2. Chlorpromazine, sympathomimetic drugs, corticosteroids, thyroid hormones, oral contraceptives and nicotinic acid preparations can reduce the hypoglycemic effect of this product. This product can reduce the patient's tolerance to alcohol, and alcohol may also enhance the hypoglycemic effect of the drug.
