Isosorbide Mononitrate Sodium Chloride Injection

Function and Efficacy

Isosorbide mononitrate is the main active metabolite of isosorbide nitrate in the body. It can dilate peripheral blood vessels, especially increase venous blood volume, reduce venous return, reduce cardiac preload and afterload, thereby reducing myocardial oxygen consumption; at the same time, it can also improve blood supply to the ischemic area by promoting myocardial blood flow redistribution, and may play an anti-myocardial ischemic role through these two aspects. The LD50 (mg/kg) of intravenous injection of isosorbide mononitrate is: 2250 (female) and 1820 (male) in mice; 1750 (female) and 1880 (male) in rats.

Ingredients

Ingredients: Injection: isosorbide mononitrate 20 mg, sodium chloride NaCl 2.25 g, chemical name: 1,4:3,6-dianhydro-D-sorbitol-5-mononitrate and sodium chloride.
