Function and Efficacy
This product is a new generation of macrolide antibiotics, mainly acting on Gram-positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, chlamydia and mycoplasma. Its in vitro antibacterial effect is similar to that of erythromycin, and its activity against streptococci, Haemophilus ducreyi, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, oral or vaginal anaerobic bacteria is similar to that of erythromycin; its effect on Campylobacter, Bordetella pertussis and Haemophilus influenzae is not as good as that of erythromycin; it also has an inhibitory effect on Mycobacterium tuberculosis, most atypical mycobacteria, Campylobacter jejuni, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, and Pasteurella multocida; it has no antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria. Some bacteria have cross-resistance to erythromycin and this product, and this product is particularly effective against mycoplasma, chlamydia and Legionella infections. Its in vivo antibacterial effect is 1 to 4 times stronger than that of erythromycin.

Appearance
This product is white or off-white powder with aromatic odor and sweet taste.
Indication
1. Suitable for the following infections caused by sensitive strains: (1) Upper respiratory tract infection. (2) Lower respiratory tract infection. (3) Ear, nose and throat infection. (4) Genital infection (except gonococcal infection). (5) Skin and soft tissue infection. 2. Can also be used for mycoplasma pneumonia, Chlamydia trachomatis infection and Legionnaires' disease, etc.
Usage and Dosage
Oral. 1 Adults: 0.15g once, twice a day, or as directed by a doctor. 2 Children: ① Children weighing 6-11kg, 25mg each morning and evening, or as directed by a doctor; ② Children weighing 12-23kg, 50mg each morning and evening, or as directed by a doctor; ③ Children weighing 24-40kg, 100mg each morning and evening, or as directed by a doctor.
Adverse Reactions
1. Gastrointestinal reactions may be seen: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain. 2. Abnormal liver function may be seen: elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST). 3. Skin rash may be seen.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product.
