Drug Interactions

1 Calcium agents: Combination with calcium agents may cause elevated blood calcium, so blood calcium should be monitored. 2 Thiazide diuretics: This type of diuretic can promote the kidney's absorption of calcium, and there is a risk of hypercalcemia when used together. 3 Digitalis glycosides: Hypercalcemia in patients taking digitalis drugs can easily induce arrhythmias. If this drug is used in combination, blood calcium should be closely monitored. 4 Barbiturates, anticonvulsants: These drugs can accelerate the metabolism of active vitamin D metabolites in the liver and reduce the efficacy of the drug, so the dose of this drug should be appropriately increased. 5 Gastrointestinal absorption inhibitors: Cholestyramine or aluminum-containing antacids can reduce the absorption of this drug. The two should not be taken at the same time.
