Diphenhydramine Menthol Syrup

The diphenhydramine contained in this product is a derivative of ethanolamine, which can compete with histamine released from tissues for H1 receptors on effector cells, thereby preventing the onset of allergic reactions and relieving the spasmodic and congestive effects of histamine. In addition, it also has a strong antiemetic effect. Menthol is a flavoring agent.

This product is a compound preparation, each 10 ml contains 20 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride and 2 mg of menthol. The excipients are:

This product is a clear thick liquid with a flavoring aroma and sweet taste.

It is used for skin and mucous membrane allergies, such as urticaria, allergic rhinitis, pruritus, drug eruption, insect bites and contact dermatitis. It can also be used to prevent and treat motion sickness.

Oral administration. Adults take 10 ml each time, 2-3 times a day. When used to prevent and treat motion sickness, it is recommended to take it 1-2 hours before travel, at least 30 minutes before travel.

1. Common symptoms include dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite and drowsiness. 2. Occasionally, skin rash and neutropenia are seen.

Patients with myasthenia gravis, angle-closure glaucoma, and prostatic hypertrophy are prohibited from using this product.
