Mifepristone Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Mifepristone is a receptor-level anti-progestin drug that has the effects of terminating early pregnancy, preventing implantation, inducing menstruation, and promoting cervical ripening. It competes with progesterone for receptors to antagonize progesterone, and also has a certain binding force with glucocorticoid receptors. Mifepristone can significantly increase the sensitivity of the pregnant uterus to prostaglandins. Small doses of mifepristone sequentially combined with prostaglandin drugs can achieve satisfactory results in terminating early pregnancy.
