Clotrimazole vaginal tablets

Clotrimazole vaginal tablets are broad-spectrum antifungal drugs that have good antibacterial effects on a variety of fungi, especially Candida albicans. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic processes.

Each tablet of this product contains 0.5 grams of clotrimazole. The auxiliary materials are starch, lactic acid, calcium lactate, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, micro-powdered silica gel, hypromellose, cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone, and magnesium stearate.

This product is white or off-white tablets.

Used for candidal vulvovaginitis and infectious leucorrhea caused by yeast.

Vaginal administration. Take 1 tablet before going to bed, 1 tablet is one course of treatment. Place the tablet deep in the vagina. Generally, 1 dose is enough, and a second treatment can be carried out 4 days later if necessary.

Local irritation such as itching or burning may occur occasionally.

Precautions for children: Girls under 18 years of age should avoid using it as much as possible, and should use it under the guidance of a doctor when necessary. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: 1. This product was given vaginally in the last 3 months of pregnancy, and no adverse effects on the fetus were found. However, in studies on mice and rats, oral administration of clotrimazole at 50-120 mg/kg body weight showed embryotoxicity, so pregnant women should avoid using it as much as possible, and should use it under the guidance of a physician when necessary. 2. This product is slightly absorbed when used, but there is a lack of experimental data on whether it is secreted into breast milk, so lactating women should use it with caution. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients may have vaginal dryness that affects the efficacy of this product.
