Compound Bifendate Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Bifendate is an intermediate in the synthesis of Schisandra acetone. Oral administration of 150-200 mg/kg of this product to mice can reduce liver damage and elevated transaminase (ALT) caused by carbon tetrachloride. It has an inhibitory effect on liver microsomal lipid peroxidation caused by carbon tetrachloride and the metabolic conversion of carbon tetrachloride into carbon monoxide, and reduces the consumption of reduced coenzyme II and oxygen in the metabolic process of carbon tetrachloride, thereby protecting the structure and function of the hepatocyte biomembrane. This product can also reduce the elevated liver ALT induced by prednisone and promote liver regeneration in mice with partial hepatectomy. The enzyme-lowering effect of this product does not directly inhibit the ALT activity of serum and liver, nor does it accelerate the inactivation of ALT in the blood, which may be a reflection of the reduction of liver tissue damage. This product has a significant induction effect on the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes, thereby enhancing the detoxification ability of carbon tetrachloride and certain carcinogens. It has an effect on improving protein metabolism in some hepatitis patients, increasing albumin and reducing globulin. It has no negative conversion effect on HbsAg and HbeAg, and cannot shrink the enlarged liver and spleen. Inosine can directly penetrate the delicate membrane into the body cells, activate pyruvate oxidase, so that the cells in the low-energy hypoxic state can continue to metabolize, improve liver function and participate in the body's energy metabolism and protein synthesis. The combination of the two drugs of this product enhances the efficacy and reduces the rebound phenomenon of enzyme reduction.
