Miconazole nitrate suppository

This product is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug that has antibacterial effects on a variety of fungi, especially Candida albicans, and also has antibacterial effects on certain Gram-positive bacteria. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic processes.

Each tablet of this product contains 0.2 grams of miconazole nitrate as the main ingredient and stearic acid as the auxiliary ingredient.

This product is a white oval suppository made of adipose matrix.

Topical treatment of candidal vulvovaginal infection and superinfection caused by gram-positive bacteria.

Vaginal administration, wash and place the suppository deep into the vagina. Take 1 suppository every night. 7 consecutive days is a course of treatment. A three-day treatment can also be used: 1 suppository at night on the first day, and 1 suppository each morning and evening on the next three days. Even if the symptoms disappear quickly, the treatment course must be completed and it should be continued during the menstrual period.

1. Allergic reactions are rare, but most are mild. Common adverse reactions are local irritation, itching, and burning sensation, especially at the beginning of treatment. Pelvic spasms, urticaria, and skin papules also occur. 2. Very rare adverse reactions also include: angioedema, eczema, vaginal irritation, vaginal discharge, and discomfort at the administration site.

Patients with known hypersensitivity to miconazole nitrate or other ingredients of this product are contraindicated.

Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: 1. Pregnant and lactating women should use with caution. 2. Women with no sexual history should use under the guidance of a physician. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
