Metronidazole fenbufen capsules
Function and Efficacy
Metronidazole in this product has a strong antibacterial effect on most anaerobic bacteria, but has no effect on aerobic bacteria and facultative anaerobes. The antibacterial spectrum includes Bacteroides fragilis and other Bacteroides, Fusobacterium, Clostridium perfringens, Eubacterium, Veillonella, Peptococcus and Peptostreptococcus, etc. Its bactericidal concentration is slightly higher than the inhibitory concentration. The bactericidal mechanism of metronidazole has not been fully elucidated. The nitroreductase of anaerobic bacteria plays an important role in the energy metabolism of sensitive strains. The nitro group of this product is reduced to a cytotoxin, which acts on the DNA metabolism process of bacteria and promotes cell death. Resistant bacteria often lack nitroreductase and are therefore resistant to metronidazole. Fenbufen is a long-acting non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic. After entering the body, it is metabolized into diphenyl ethyl ester, which can inhibit the activity of cyclooxygenase, reduce the synthesis of prostaglandins, and produce anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.
Ingredients

If the drug must be used, breastfeeding should be suspended, and breastfeeding can be resumed 24 to 48 hours after the end of the treatment course. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients need to monitor blood drug concentrations and pay attention to renal toxicity when using this product due to decreased liver and kidney function.
Drug Interactions
1. This product can inhibit the metabolism of warfarin and other oral anticoagulants, enhance their effects, and cause the prothrombin time to be prolonged. 2. When used in combination with drugs that induce liver microsomal enzymes, such as phenytoin sodium and phenobarbital, it can enhance the metabolism of this product, reduce the blood drug concentration, and slow down the excretion of phenytoin sodium. 3. When used in combination with drugs that inhibit the activity of liver microsomal enzymes, such as cimetidine, it can slow down the metabolism and excretion of this product in the liver, prolong the blood elimination half-life (t1/2β) of this product, and the dosage should be adjusted according to the results of blood drug concentration determination. 4. This product interferes with the metabolism of disulfiram. When the two are used together, patients may experience mental symptoms after drinking. Therefore, those who have used disulfiram within two weeks should not use this product again. 5. This product interferes with the results of serum aminotransferase and lactate dehydrogenase determinations, and can reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
