Function and Efficacy
Pharmacological action: Pentoxifylline and its metabolites improve blood rheology by reducing blood viscosity. The exact mode of action and the effect that leads to improvement in clinical symptoms need to be determined. Pentoxifylline has the effects of reducing blood viscosity, increasing red blood cell deformability, improving the blood rheological properties of white blood cells in a dose-dependent manner, and inhibiting the adhesion and activation of neutrophils. For patients with chronic peripheral arterial vascular disease, this product can increase blood flow, affect microcirculation and increase tissue oxygen supply. Appearance
This product is a colorless clear liquid.
Indication
① Cerebral blood circulation disorders such as transient cerebral ischemic attack, sequelae of stroke, and brain dysfunction caused by cerebral ischemia; ② Peripheral blood circulation disorders such as thromboembolic vasculitis, abdominal arterial blood circulation disorders, intermittent claudication or rest pain; ③ Inner ear circulation disorders such as sudden deafness, senile tinnitus and deafness; ④ Ocular blood circulation disorders such as diabetic retinal artery embolism.
Usage and Dosage
Intravenous drip. The patient should be in a supine position during use. The initial dose is 100 mg of pentoxifylline (equivalent to 100 ml of this product), which is infused within 2-3 hours, and the maximum drip rate should not exceed 100 mg/hour. Depending on the patient's tolerance, the dose can be increased by 50 mg each time, but the dose should not exceed 200 mg each time, 1-2 times a day. The maximum dose should not exceed 400 mg/24 hours.
Adverse Reactions
① Common adverse reactions include: nausea, dizziness, headache, anorexia, abdominal distension, vomiting, etc., and their incidence rates are all above 5%. ② Less common adverse reactions include cardiovascular system: decreased blood pressure, irregular breathing, edema, anxiety, depression, convulsions in the nervous system; anorexia, constipation, dry mouth, thirst in the digestive system; angioedema, rash, shiny nails in the skin; as well as blurred vision, conjunctivitis, enlarged central blind spot, decreased taste, increased saliva, leukopenia, muscle soreness, weight change, etc. ③ Occasional adverse reactions include angina pectoris, arrhythmia; jaundice, hepatitis, abnormal liver function, decreased blood fibrinogen, aplastic anemia, etc.
Precautions
This product is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to pentoxifylline, patients with cerebral hemorrhage, extensive retinal hemorrhage, acute myocardial infarction, pregnant women, patients with severe coronary artery and cerebral vascular sclerosis and hypertension, severe arrhythmia and diabetes.

Drug Interactions
① When used in combination with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs, the coagulation time is prolonged. The dose should be reduced when this drug is used in patients taking warfarin. ② When used in combination with theophylline drugs, there is a synergistic effect, which can increase the efficacy and toxicity of theophylline. Therefore, the doses of theophylline and pentoxifylline must be adjusted. ③ When used in combination with antihypertensive drugs, beta-blockers, digitalis, diuretics, antidiabetic and antiarrhythmic drugs, there is no obvious cross-effect, but it may slightly aggravate the hypotension, so please pay attention.
