Function and Efficacy
This product is an endopeptidase that can hydrolyze elastin, collagen and glycoprotein, enhance the activity of lipoprotein esterase, prevent the synthesis of cholesterol in the body and promote its conversion into bile acid, reduce plasma cholesterol, LDL, VLDL and triglycerides, increase HDL, prevent lipid deposition on the arterial wall, decompose old elastin and promote new elastin synthesis, maintain vascular elasticity, inhibit glomerular basement membrane hypertrophy, and reduce the excretion of trace protein in the kidney. The LD50 of intraperitoneal injection in mice is 101.6±14.1mg/kg. Dogs are given 300 units/kg orally and by injection respectively. After 4 weeks, no abnormalities were found in blood counts, liver function, kidney function and other biochemical indicators and pathological examinations. Mice were continuously given 750, 7500, and 75000 units/kg of this product by oral gavage during pregnancy, and no stillbirth or deformity was observed.

Appearance
Properties: This product is in the form of capsules. Without the capsule, it appears as off-white or light yellow powder or granules.
Indication
It is clinically used for type II and IV hyperlipidemia (especially type II), atherosclerosis, fatty liver, and diabetic nephropathy.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration, 300-600 units at a time, 3 times a day.
Adverse Reactions
Occasionally, allergic reactions may occur, and mild gastrointestinal symptoms may occur, such as abdominal distension, loss of appetite, etc., and pain in the liver area, dry mouth, and numbness of the lips may also be seen. Generally, no treatment is required and it can heal on its own.
