Compound Ketoconazole Cream

[Pharmacology and Toxicology] Ketoconazole is an azole antifungal drug. It has antibacterial and bactericidal effects on dermatophytes, yeasts (Candida, Pityrosporum, Torulopsis, Cryptococcus), dimorphic fungi and Fungi; except for Entomophthora, it has weaker effects on Aspergillus, Schenckia, some Phaeochromocytaceae and Mucor. The mechanism of action of ketoconazole is mainly to highly selectively interfere with the activity of fungal cytochrome P-450, thereby inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol on the fungal cell membrane. Clobetasol propionate is a potent topical corticosteroid. It acts quickly and has a strong capillary contraction effect. The anti-inflammatory effect is 112.5 times that of hydrocortisone, 2.3 times that of betamethasone sodium phosphate, and 18.7 times that of fluocinolone. Neomycin sulfate belongs to the aminoglycoside antibiotics and can be used externally to treat local infections. [Pharmacokinetics] Ketoconazole was applied once to the chest, back and buttocks of healthy volunteers, and no trace of it was detected in the blood within 72 hours (below the detection limit of 5ng/ml). Clobetasol propionate can be absorbed through intact skin after topical application, mainly metabolized in the liver and excreted through the kidneys. Neomycin sulfate is rarely absorbed when applied topically, but the absorption increases when the skin is ulcerated or damaged.

Each vial contains 100 mg of ketoconazole, 2.5 mg of clobetasol propionate and 50,000 units of neomycin sulfate.

This product is a white or off-white cream.

This product is mainly used for superficial fungal infections of the skin, such as tinea manuum, tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, etc.

After cleaning, apply an appropriate amount evenly to the affected area. Twice a day. Treatment course: Generally, 2 weeks for tinea corporis and tinea cruris, and 4 weeks for tinea manuum and pedis.

Dry skin, hirsutism, stretch marks, increased susceptibility to infection, etc. 3. Long-term use may cause hypercorticism, manifested as hirsutism, acne, moon face, osteoporosis, etc. 4. Occasionally may cause allergic contact dermatitis.

It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to the ingredients of this product, other azoles, aminoglycosides and corticosteroids.
