Vitamin B6 is converted into pyridoxal phosphate in red blood cells and acts as a coenzyme in various metabolic functions of proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids. Vitamin B6 is also involved in the conversion of tryptophan into niacin or 5-hydroxytryptamine.
Ingredients
Each tablet of this product contains 10 mg of vitamin B6 as the main ingredient. The auxiliary materials are starch, dextrin, and magnesium stearate.

Indication
Vitamin and mineral deficiency medication. 1. Applicable to the prevention and treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency (vitamin B6 deficiency can cause xanthine aciduria, sideroblastic anemia, nervous system lesions, seborrheic dermatitis and chapped lips), prevention and treatment of isoniazid poisoning; can also be used for radiation sickness during pregnancy and vomiting and seborrheic dermatitis caused by anticancer drugs. 2. Total parenteral nutrition and malnutrition caused by insufficient intake.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 1. Adults: (1) Vitamin B6 dependence syndrome: 30-600 mg per day initially, 50 mg per day for maintenance, lifelong use. (2) Vitamin B6 deficiency: 10-20 mg per day for 3 weeks, then 2-3 mg per day for several weeks. (3) Congenital metabolic disorders (cystathionuria, hyperoxaluria, homocystinuria, xanthine aciduria): 100-500 mg per day. (4) Drug-induced vitamin B6 deficiency: ① Prevention: 10-50 mg per day (when using penicillamine), or 100-300 mg per day (when using cycloserine, ethionamide or isoniazid). ② Treatment: 50-200 mg per day for 3 weeks, then 25-100 mg per day. (5) Hereditary
Adverse Reactions
Vitamin B6 is almost non-toxic when renal function is normal. If 200 mg is taken daily for more than 30 days, vitamin B6 dependence syndrome has been reported. 2 to 6 g of vitamin B6 taken daily for several months can cause severe neurosensory abnormalities, progressive gait instability, numbness of the feet, and inflexibility of the hands, which can be relieved after stopping the drug, but still weak.
Precautions
Pregnant women who take large amounts of vitamin B6 may develop vitamin B6 dependence syndrome in their newborns. However, breastfeeding mothers who take the normal amount have no adverse effects on their babies.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women who take large amounts of vitamin B6 may cause vitamin B6 dependence syndrome in newborns. Normal intake of vitamin B6 by nursing mothers has no adverse effects on infants. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
Drug Interactions
1. The combination of small doses of vitamin B6 (5 mg per day) and levodopa can reduce the efficacy of the latter in treating Parkinson's disease. However, if the preparation contains decarboxylase inhibitors such as carbidopa, it has no effect on levodopa. 2. Chloramphenicol, hydralazine hydrochloride, isoniazid, penicillamine and immunosuppressants including glucocorticoids, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine and other drugs can antagonize vitamin B6 or enhance the secretion of vitamin B6 through the kidneys, and may even cause anemia or peripheral neuritis. 3. When taking estrogen, the dosage of vitamin B6 should be increased! Because estrogen can reduce the activity of vitamin B6 in the body. 4.
