Function and Efficacy

This product is a third-generation cephalosporin with a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. It is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic produced against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It has strong activity against Enterobacteriaceae. The MIC90 for Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Citrobacter fluorescens, indole-positive Proteus, Providencia and Serratia is between 0.12 and 0.25 mg/L. Enterobacter cloacae, Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas aeruginosa are poorly sensitive to this product. It has a strong antibacterial effect on Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis, and also has a good effect on hemolytic streptococci and pneumococci. The MIC for Staphylococcus aureus is 2 to 4 mg/L. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococci and enterococci are resistant to this product. Most Bacteroides fragilis are resistant to this product.

Ingredients

Indication

Various infections caused by sensitive pathogens, especially severe and critical cases and cases that are ineffective with other antibiotics. Such as pneumonia, bronchitis, lung suppuration and empyema. Ear, nose and throat infections. Kidney and urinary tract infections. Sepsis. Meningitis. Prevention of infection before surgery. Infections of bones, joints, soft tissues, skin and wounds and burn infections. Abdominal infections, including peritonitis, bile duct and gastrointestinal infections. Genital infections, including gonorrhea.

Usage and Dosage

Oral. 1. Common dosage for adults: 0.25-0.5g once, once every 6 hours. For more serious infections, the dosage can be increased to 1g once, but the total daily dosage should not exceed 4g. 2. Common dosage for children: 6.25-12.5mg/kg once according to body weight, once every 6 hours. 3. During treatment, regardless of the patient's age and weight, the maximum dose of cefradine that can be taken is 1g/time, once every 6 hours. As with other antibacterial treatments, cefradine treatment should be continued at least until the patient's infection symptoms disappear or at least 48-72 hours after evidence of bacterial clearance is obtained. When treating infections caused by group A B-hemolytic streptococci, it is recommended to treat for at least 10 days to prevent the occurrence of rheumatic fever or glomerulonephritis.

Adverse Reactions

Precautions

Drug Interactions

1. When erythromycin, tetracycline, amphotericin B, vasoactive drugs (meta-hydroxylamine, norepinephrine, etc.), phenytoin sodium, chlorpromazine, isopropyl alcohol, vitamin B group, vitamin C, etc. are added to the intravenous infusion of cephalosporins, turbidity will occur. Since this product has many contraindications, it should be administered alone. 2. Drinking alcohol or taking alcohol-containing drugs during the use of this product may cause disulfiram-like reactions in some patients. Therefore, drinking alcohol and taking alcohol-containing drugs should be avoided during the use of this product and in the following days.
