Increase the content of phosphatidylcholine in alveolar macrophages, affect lung phospholipid metabolism, while cysteine mucolytics have no such effect. This product also has the effect of increasing the concentration of antibiotics in lung tissue and its secretions. ⑷ Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties In vitro tests have shown that ambroxol has the effect of reducing the secretion of cytokines IL-1, TNF-a, and IF-Y in activated alveolar cells in bronchopulmonary lavage fluid and peripheral blood mononuclear cells; inhibiting the production of IL-1 and TNF in human mononuclear cells in vitro; and has a significant inhibitory effect on the release of inflammatory mediators such as arachidonic acid oxidation products produced by ozone-induced airway hyperresponsiveness. Ambroxol can protect against lung damage caused by peroxides, including asthma, and improve the antioxidant activity of lung tissue. It is an effective anti-lipid peroxidation agent.
