Function and Efficacy

Competitive antagonist of the agonist effect of acetylcholine or cholinergic receptor agonists on M cholinergic receptors. It has a high selectivity for M receptors, and large or toxic doses can also block the N1 receptors of the ganglion. Eye tissue: Blocks the M cholinergic receptors, thereby relaxing the pupillary sphincter and ciliary muscle, resulting in pupil dilation.

Ingredients

The content of atropine sulfate is 1.0% (w/w); the content of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is 4.0% (w/w); the content of boric acid is 0.5% (w/w); the content of borax is 1.0% (w/w); and the content of benzalkonium chloride is 0.01% (w/w).

Indication

Used for mydriasis before fundus examination and optometry, mydriasis before ophthalmic surgery, prevention of adhesion after surgery, and for keratitis, iridocyclitis, etc.

Usage and Dosage

Place 1 drop into the conjunctival sac twice a day, or as directed by your doctor.

Adverse Reactions

1. After using the medicine on the eyes, dryness of the skin and mucous membranes, fever, facial flushing, tachycardia, etc. may occur. 2. A small number of patients may experience allergic symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and conjunctival congestion of the eyelids, and the medicine should be stopped immediately.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for patients with glaucoma and prostatic hypertrophy.

Drug Interactions
