Xylometazoline hydrochloride nasal spray

This product is an α-adrenergic receptor agonist that has the effect of constricting the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, relieving congestion and thus improving nasal congestion symptoms.

Xylometazoline hydrochloride, its chemical name is: 2-(4-tert-butyl 2,6-dimethylbenzyl)-2-imidazoline hydrochloride.

This product is a colorless, clear liquid; when the valve is pressed, the medicine will spray out in the form of droplets and mist.

It is suitable for nasal diseases such as nasal congestion caused by cold complications, acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, hypertrophic rhinitis, etc., to relieve or eliminate nasal congestion symptoms.

Twice a day, 2 to 3 presses each time.

Occasionally, there may be transient mild burning sensation, dryness, headache, dizziness and accelerated heart rate in the nasal cavity.

1. Patients receiving monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants are contraindicated. 2. Patients with coronary heart disease, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and angle-involved glaucoma should use with caution.

Precautions for children: Not for use in infants and young children. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Not for use in pregnant women. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

It should not be used in combination with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.
