This product is used in combination with heparin to prevent cardiac ischemic events in patients with unstable angina or non-Q wave myocardial infarction. It is also suitable for patients with coronary ischemic syndrome undergoing coronary angioplasty or intracoronary plaque resection to prevent cardiac ischemic complications related to sudden occlusion of the treated coronary artery.

Dissolve this product in 0.9% sodium chloride injection or 5% glucose injection at a concentration of 50μg/ml. This product is for intravenous use only and requires sterile equipment. This product can be used in combination with heparin and infused from the same fluid line.

Bleeding: Intracranial hemorrhage, retroperitoneal hemorrhage, hemopericardium, pulmonary (alveolar) hemorrhage, and spinal epidural hematoma. Fatal bleeding is rare. Systemic: Acute and/or severe thrombocytopenia may be accompanied by chills, mild fever, or bleeding complications. Hypersensitivity: Severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis. Hypersensitivity cases have been reported on the first day of tirofiban infusion, during initial treatment, and during re-use. Some cases were accompanied by severe thrombocytopenia (platelet count <10,000/mm3).
