The mechanism of action is to inhibit bacterial DNA helicase. It is also better than norfloxacin and pefloxacin mesylate in antibacterial effects against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter, Staphylococcus aureus, Pneumococcus, alpha-hemolytic streptococci, beta-hemolytic streptococci, etc., but has little effect on pneumococci and group A streptococci. There is no cross-resistance with other antibiotics, and β-lactam, aminoglycoside, and sulfonamide resistant strains are still sensitive to this product.
