This product is converted into terbutaline in the body, which is an adrenaline, β2 receptor agonist, relaxes bronchial smooth muscles and achieves an anti-asthmatic effect.

Bronchial asthma, chronic asthmatic bronchitis, obstructive pulmonary emphysema and other lung diseases associated with bronchospasm.

Oral. Take orally once every night before bedtime, the dosage should be individualized. Adults: The recommended initial dose is 10 mg (10 ml), which can be increased to 20 mg (20 ml) after 1-2 weeks of medication based on clinical effects. For patients with good tolerance to oral beta-2 receptor agonists, the recommended initial dose is 20 mg (20 ml). For patients with renal insufficiency (glomerular filtration rate GFR < 50 ml/min), the initial dose is recommended to be 5.0 mg (5 ml), which can be increased to 10 mg (10 ml) after 1-2 weeks of medication based on clinical effects. Children aged 2-5 years: The recommended initial dose for Asian children is 5 mg (5 ml). Children aged 6-12 years: 10 mg (10 ml) a day. It is not recommended that Asian children use a dose exceeding 10 mg (10 ml).

There are tremors, headaches, palpitations after tonic muscle spasms, etc., but the adverse reactions of this drug are milder than other similar drugs. Its intensity is positively correlated with the dose, and most side effects disappear on their own within the first 1-2 weeks of treatment. A very small number of people may experience mild elevation of aminotransferase and dry mouth, dizziness, stomach discomfort, rash, etc.

Patients who are allergic to this product, terbutaline and sympathomimetic amines are contraindicated.

1. The combined use with other sympathomimetic amines enhances the effect and increases toxicity. 2. It should not be used in combination with adrenergic receptor blockers (such as propranolol). 3. The muscle relaxant succinylcholine chloride (succinylcholine) is inactivated by plasma cholinesterase. Bambuterol can partially inhibit plasma cholinesterase, thereby prolonging the muscle relaxant effect of succinylcholine chloride (succinylcholine). This inhibitory effect is dose-dependent and can be completely reversed after discontinuation of bambuterol. This interaction also occurs with other muscle relaxants metabolized by cholinesterase. 4. Treatment with beta2 receptor agonists may cause hypokalemia, and the simultaneous use of xanthine derivatives, steroids and diuretics will aggravate this effect.
