Potassium Magnesium Aspartate Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Pharmacology Aspartic acid (Asp), also known as aspartic acid, contains two carboxyl groups and one amino group in the molecule. It is an acidic amino acid and is widely present in all proteins. Aspartic acid is a precursor of oxaloacetate and plays an important role in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, ornithine cycle and nucleotide synthesis. It has a strong affinity for cells and can be used as a carrier to facilitate the entry of potassium ions and magnesium ions into the cytoplasm and mitochondria to maintain the normal excitability of cells such as nervous tissue, myocardium, and smooth muscle and the stability of the internal environment. It transports electrolytes to the myocardium, promotes muscle cell depolarization, maintains myocardial contractility, and reduces myocardial oxygen consumption. It has a protective effect on the myocardium when hypoxia is caused by coronary circulation disorders. Aspartic acid participates in the ornithine cycle and promotes urea production
Ingredients
Each tablet of this product contains 158 mg of potassium aspartate (C4H6NO4K) and 140 mg of magnesium aspartate [(C4H6NO4)2Mg].
