Function and Efficacy
This product can inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins and has antipyretic and analgesic effects.
Appearance
This product is a light yellow clear liquid with a minty aroma and sweet taste.
Indication
It is used to treat fever caused by the common cold or influenza in children, and is also used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as joint pain, migraine, headache, muscle pain, toothache, and neuralgia.
Usage and Dosage
Oral. Children under 12 years old should use a dropper to measure the dosage. See the following table for dosage: Age (years) Weight (kg) Single dosage (ml) 1-3 10-15 1-1.5 4-6 16-21 1.5-27-9 22-27 2-310-12 28-32 3-3.5 If fever or pain persists, repeat the medication once every 4-6 hours, not more than 4 times in 24 hours.
Adverse Reactions
At conventional doses, acetaminophen has few adverse reactions, and may occasionally cause nausea, vomiting, sweating, abdominal pain, pale skin, etc. In a few cases, allergic dermatitis (rash, skin itching, etc.), granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, methemoglobinemia, anemia, liver and kidney damage, etc. may occur. It rarely causes gastrointestinal bleeding.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product. It is contraindicated for those with severe liver and kidney dysfunction.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Children under 3 years old should avoid using this product because of their underdeveloped liver and kidney functions. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product can pass through the placenta and be secreted in breast milk, so it is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Due to the decline of liver and kidney functions in elderly patients, the half-life of this product is prolonged and adverse reactions are prone to occur. It should be used with caution or in a reduced dosage.
Drug Interactions
1. Long-term use of this product by patients who use barbiturates (such as phenobarbital) or antispasmodics (such as belladonna) may cause liver damage. 2. When this product is used together with chloramphenicol, the toxicity of the latter may be enhanced. 3. If you are taking other medicines, please consult a physician before using this product.
Storage
Keep away from light, sealed and stored in a cool place. The validity period is tentatively set at two years.
