Oxybuprocaine hydrochloride eye drops

Function and Efficacy

1. Anesthetic effect and duration After 6 healthy people were given one drop of this agent, the time required to achieve complete anesthesia was measured. The results showed that the average onset time was 9 minutes [the average pain-free duration was 13 minutes and 4 seconds]. 2. Surface anesthetic intensity The corneal anesthesia test conducted on rabbits showed that the surface anesthetic intensity of oxybuprocaine hydrochloride was about 20 times that of cocaine. In addition, the infiltration anesthetic effect of this product on mouse skin is about 10 times that of procaine. 3. Others The corneal damage effect of this agent is weaker than that of cocaine, tetracaine, etc., and it has no effect on pupil diameter, accommodation function, light perception, intraocular pressure, etc.
