Magnesium Sulfate and Glucose Injection

Function and Efficacy

Pharmacological action: This product can increase the concentration of magnesium ions in the extracellular fluid by injection, inhibit the central nervous system, reduce the release of acetylcholine at the motor nerve endings, block the conduction at the peripheral neuromuscular junction, and thus produce sedative, antispasmodic, and skeletal muscle relaxation effects. This product also has the effect of reducing intracranial pressure. Excessive magnesium ions can directly relax the peripheral vascular smooth muscle, causing sympathetic ganglion impulse transmission disorders, thereby dilating blood vessels and lowering blood pressure.
