Serogroup A meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine

Function and Efficacy

According to the difference of its antigen-capsular polysaccharide, Neisseria meningitidis can be divided into at least 7 serogroups, including A, B, and C. 95% of epidemic meningitis in my country is caused by group A pathogens, which is different in other countries (for example, 85% to 95% in the United States are caused by groups B, C, and w-135). Therefore, my country's vaccine is prepared with purified capsular polysaccharides of group A epidemic meningococci. Antibodies can be detected in the body 1 to 2 weeks after vaccination, reaching a peak in 12 weeks, and immunity can be maintained for at least 1 year to prevent epidemic meningitis caused by group A meningococci. The main targets of vaccination are children aged 6 months to 15 years in epidemic areas and those who plan to travel to and work in epidemic areas.

Ingredients

This product is a polysaccharide vaccine made from the culture fluid of group A Neisseria meningitidis, which is purified to obtain polysaccharide antigens and then freeze-dried after adding appropriate stabilizers.

Appearance

The finished product has a white loose body appearance, which can be quickly dissolved after adding the attached PBS, and the solution is clear and free of foreign matter.

Indication

After vaccination, this vaccine can induce the body to produce humoral immune response and is used to prevent epidemic meningitis caused by group A meningococcus.

Usage and Dosage

1 After opening the vaccine bottle, add 5 ml of PBS solution to each vaccine, shake well and use immediately. 2 After disinfecting the attachment of the deltoid muscle on the outside of the upper arm, inject 0.5 ml (30g) subcutaneously. 3 The first immunization for children starts at 6 months old, and the basic immunization is 2 injections, with an interval of 3 months between each injection. One injection is given for children over 3 years old, and the vaccination should be completed before the epidemic season of meningococcal meningitis. Revaccination is performed once every 3 years as needed. In the event of an epidemic, the age group can be expanded for emergency vaccination.
