This product is a bone metabolism regulator. It has a strong affinity for calcium phosphate in the body, can inhibit abnormal calcification and excessive bone absorption in the human body, relieve bone pain, reduce the concentration of serum alkaline phosphatase and urinary hydroxyproline; at low doses, it can directly inhibit osteoclast formation and prevent bone absorption, reduce bone turnover rate, increase bone density, etc. to achieve bone calcium regulation.

The main ingredient of this product is: etidronate disodium. Its chemical name is: (1-hydroxyethylidene) diphosphonic acid disodium salt.

This product is a white tablet.

Used for postmenopausal osteoporosis and aging-related osteoporosis.

Oral administration: 0.2 g at a time, twice a day, between meals.

Symptoms include abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, soft stools, vomiting, stomatitis, burning sensation in the throat, headache, itchy skin, and rash.

Animal experiments have found that high doses can cause fetal bone abnormalities, and the drug can enter breast milk, so it is not suitable for pregnant women or women who may become pregnant. It may affect bone growth in children, and there have been reports of rickets-like symptoms caused by long-term use, so it should be used with caution.

Precautions for children: Not clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients should reduce the dosage as appropriate due to decreased renal function.
