Uracil Tegafur Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Similar to Tegafur, it gradually transforms into fluorouracil in the body to interfere with and block the synthesis of DNA, RNA and protein. Experimental studies have shown that uracil can block the degradation of Tegafur and specifically increase the concentration of fluorouracil and its active metabolites in tumor tissues. By using different ratios of Tegafur and uracil and measuring the concentration of fluorouracil in animals (B) and tumors (T), it was shown that when the ratio of the two was 1:4, the ratio of fluorouracil concentration in tumors and blood (T/B) was the largest. 4 hours after administration, the concentration of fluorouracil in tumors was the highest, with a T/B ratio of 23, which was much higher than that in other normal tissues such as spleen, lung, brain, muscle, brain marrow, liver, thymus, kidney and testicular tissues. Patients were given 300 mg of fluorouracil and different ratios of uracil, and then surgery was performed. The concentrations of fluorinated uracil in plasma (B), tumors (T) and surrounding normal tissues (N) were compared. It was also shown that when the ratio was 1:4, the T/B and T/N ratios were the largest, 10.0 and 4.1 respectively. The mechanism of action of this product is explained by some people as inhibiting the decomposition of fluorouracil in tumor tissue after adding uracil, because the concentration of fluorouracil is increased accordingly; in addition, fluorouracil is mainly decomposed in the liver and part of the tumor tissue. After adding uracil, only a trace amount of decomposition is found in the tumor tissue, which may also be related to the large number of phosphorylated products of fluorouracil in the tumor. The clinical pharmacology is similar to that of tegafur.

It gradually turns into fluorouracil in the body and interferes with and blocks the synthesis of DNA, RNA and protein. After adding uracil, the decomposition of fluorouracil in tumor tissue is inhibited, and the concentration of fluorouracil is relatively increased. In addition, fluorouracil is mainly decomposed in the liver and part of the tumor tissue. After adding uracil, only a small amount of decomposition is found in the tumor tissue, which may also be related to the high amount of phosphorylated products of fluorouracil in the tumor. More |

| UracilIngredients |
It can block the degradation of tegafur and specifically increase the concentration of fluorouracil and its active metabolites in tumor tissues. When it is mixed with tegafur at a ratio of 1:4, it can significantly increase the concentration of fluorouracil in tumor tissues (maximum T/B ratio). More |
