Compound Baotaisong Millettia repens tablets
Function and Efficacy
The anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of phenylbutazone in this product are mainly through inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins and other substances that can make pain sensitive to mechanical or chemical stimulation (such as bradykinin and histamine), and it is a peripheral analgesic. The exact mechanism of anti-inflammatory effect is still unclear. It may be because this product acts on inflamed tissues and inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins or other substances that can cause inflammatory reactions (such as histamine). Inhibition of the release of lysosomal enzymes and leukocyte chemotaxis may also be related to it. In this product, Siegesbeckia has anti-inflammatory and antihypertensive effects, and Millettia reticulata has a significant effect on arthritis. Vitamin C is necessary for antibody and collagen formation tissue repair (including certain redox effects), phenylalanine and folic acid metabolism, iron and carbohydrate utilization, fat and protein synthesis, maintenance of immune function, hydroxylation of 5-hydroxytryptamine, maintenance of vascular integrity, and promotion of non-heme iron absorption. Vitamin B1 combines with adenosine triphosphate to form vitamin B1 pyrophosphate (thiamine diphosphate, cocarboxylase), which is a coenzyme necessary for carbohydrate metabolism; vitamin B1 can inhibit the activity of cholinesterase. When it is deficient, the activity of cholinesterase is enhanced, and the hydrolysis of acetylcholine is accelerated, causing nerve impulse conduction disorders and affecting gastrointestinal and myocardial functions. Ginger has the effect of dispelling wind and cold. The six herbs are used together and the pharmacological effects are synergistic, which has a strong analgesic and anti-rheumatic effect.

Adverse Reactions
1. Phenylbutazone in this product has many adverse reactions and high toxicity. The incidence of side effects is about 10% to 20%. 2. It is highly irritating to the gastrointestinal tract, which may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, etc. If used for too long or in excessive doses, it may cause gastrointestinal ulcers. 3. Phenylbutazone in this product can inhibit bone marrow function and cause granulocytopenia, or even aplastic anemia. If it is discovered and stopped in time, it can still recover, otherwise the prognosis is serious. 4. Phenylbutazone also causes sodium, chloride and water to be retained in the body, causing edema. It can also cause jaundice and hepatitis.
