Dipyridamole Tablets

Function and Efficacy

It has anti-thrombotic effect. Dipyridamole inhibits platelet aggregation, and high concentrations (50 mu; g/ml) can inhibit platelet release. The mechanism of action may be 1. Inhibition of erythrocyte uptake of adenosine, which is a platelet reaction inhibitor; 2. Inhibition of phosphodiesterase, which increases cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in platelets; 3. Inhibition of thromboxane A2 (TXA2) formation, TXA2 is a strong agonist of platelet activity; 4. Enhancement of endogenous PGI2. Dipyridamole has a vasodilatory effect. Dogs given 0.5~4.0 mg/kg of dipyridamole by duodenum produced a dose-related decrease in systemic and coronary vascular resistance, a decrease in systemic blood pressure, and an increase in coronary blood flow. It takes effect 24 minutes after administration and lasts for about 3 hours. Similar effects were observed after intravenous injection of 0.025~2.0 mg/kg.

DipyridamoleIngredients

It has anti-thrombotic effects. It inhibits platelet aggregation and release. The mechanism includes inhibiting the uptake of adenosine by red blood cells, inhibiting phosphodiesterase to increase cAMP in platelets, inhibiting the formation of thromboxane A2, and enhancing endogenous PGI2. It also has a vasodilating effect, which can reduce systemic circulation and coronary vascular resistance and increase coronary blood flow.
