Sodium Fructose Diphosphate Injection

Function and Efficacy

This product is an intermediate product of sugar metabolism in the body. It produces pharmacological effects by regulating the activity of several enzymes in sugar metabolism. Exogenous 1,6-diphosphate fructose can increase the concentration of intracellular adenosine triphosphate and creatine phosphate, promote the influx of potassium ions, increase the content of diphosphoglycerate in red blood cells, inhibit the release of oxygen free radicals and histamine, and other pharmacological effects. It can reduce the damage caused by ischemia and hypoxia, especially for ischemic heart disease. Acute toxicity tests show that the lethal dose of experimental mice and experimental rabbits is 5.0g/kg and 5.8g/kg respectively when FDP is intravenously infused at a rate of 0.4 and 0.6g/kg/min. Acute toxicity seems to be related to the toxicity caused by the large amount of inorganic phosphorus entering the systemic circulation after the hydrolysis of large doses of FDP.

Hypophosphatemia can occur in acute situations, such as blood transfusion, surgery under extracorporeal circulation, parenteral nutrition, and is also related to the depletion of carbonic acid in some chronic diseases, such as chronic alcoholism, long-term malnutrition, and chronic respiratory failure.

Usage and Dosage

Intravenous drip, 50-100 ml each time (1-2 bottles), 1-2 times a day, maximum 200 ml/day (4 bottles), intravenous drip rate 4-7 ml per minute, or as directed by the doctor. In case of heart failure, the dose can be halved.

Adverse Reactions

When the intravenous infusion rate exceeds 10ml/min, the patient may experience blushing, palpitations, and tingling in the hands and feet. If adverse reactions are found, the patient should inform the doctor. Reports of allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock are rare. If allergic reactions are found, stop the drug immediately and give anti-allergic treatment.

Precautions

This product is contraindicated in patients with hyperphosphatemia or renal failure.
