Function and Efficacy

This product is involved in the formation of antibodies and collagen in the body, tissue repair (including certain redox effects), the metabolism of phenylalanine, tyrosine, and folic acid, the utilization of iron and carbohydrates, the synthesis of fat and protein, as well as the maintenance of immune function, hydroxylation of 5-hydroxytryptamine, maintaining the integrity of blood vessels, and promoting the absorption of non-heme iron.

Ingredients

Each tablet of this product contains 1 gram of the main ingredient vitamin C. The auxiliary ingredients are apocarotene, citrus flavor, orange flavor, vitamin B2, saccharin sodium, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, sucrose, and tartaric acid.

Appearance

This product is yellow or slightly yellow tablets with scattered small yellow spots on the surface.

Indication

It is used to prevent scurvy and can also be used as an auxiliary treatment for various acute and chronic infectious diseases and purpura.

Usage and Dosage

Dissolve in warm water and take. Adults, 1 tablet per day. Do not take more than 1 tablet per day.

Adverse Reactions

1 Long-term use of 2-3 grams per day can cause scurvy after discontinuation of the drug, so it is advisable to gradually reduce the dosage and discontinue the drug. 2 Long-term use of large amounts of vitamin C can cause urate, cysteine or oxalate stones. 3 Overdose (daily dosage of more than 1 gram) can cause diarrhea, bright red skin, headache, frequent urination (daily dosage of more than 600 mg), nausea and vomiting, and stomach cramps.

Drug Interactions

1 Oral administration of large doses of vitamin C can interfere with the anticoagulant effect of anticoagulants. 2. Combined use with barbiturates or primidone can increase the excretion of vitamin C. 3 Sodium cellulose phosphate can promote the metabolism of vitamin C into oxalate. 4 Long-term or large-scale use of vitamin C can interfere with the effect of disulfiram on ethanol. 5 Salicylic acid can increase the excretion of vitamin C. 6 If used with other drugs at the same time, drug interactions may occur.
