Amantadine Hydrochloride Granules

This product can block the uncoating of influenza A virus and the release of its nucleic acid into respiratory epithelial cells, and also affect the initial replication of the virus that has already penetrated into the cells. Since this product works between the virus and the cell and has no host specificity, it is more effective for prevention or early use of the drug in contact with the virus.

Amantadine hydrochloride. Chemical name: tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]decane-1-amine hydrochloride.

This product is white granules; it tastes sweet.

Used to prevent and treat respiratory infections caused by influenza A virus. This product can promote the body to produce preventive antibodies when combined with inactivated influenza A virus vaccine.

Take with warm water. Children aged 1 to 9 years old should take 1.5 to 3 mg/kg orally every 8 hours, and the daily dose should not exceed 150 mg; children aged 9 years and above should take 100 mg once every 12 hours

Common adverse reactions are in the digestive tract and central nervous system: dizziness, headache, insomnia, anxiety, hallucination, mental confusion, nausea, loss of appetite, constipation, dry mouth and nose. Leukopenia and granulocytopenia. 2. Adverse reactions that persist or are relatively stubborn and difficult to disappear include: inattention, dizziness, irritability; loss of appetite, nausea, nervousness, purple-red reticular spots or reticular spots on the skin, sleep disorders or nightmares are common; blurred vision, constipation, dry mouth, nose and throat, headache, rash, frequent fatigue or weakness, vomiting, etc. are rare or extremely rare. 3. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product. It is contraindicated for children with epilepsy. It is contraindicated for children during the measles epidemic period. It is contraindicated for newborns and infants under 1 year old.

1. Do not drink alcoholic beverages during medication, as this may increase adverse reactions of the nervous system, such as dizziness, lightheadedness, orthostatic hypotension, etc. 2. Anticholinergics, antidepressants, antidyskinesias, antihistamines, antidiarrheals, opioids or phenothiazines, etc., when used in combination with this product, may enhance anticholinergic adverse reactions, such as impaired consciousness, hallucinations, nightmares, etc. Therefore, the dose of the above drugs or this product should be reduced as appropriate; at the same time, attention should be paid to the possible occurrence of paralytic ileum. (1) This product should not be used in combination with central nervous system stimulants to avoid causing central nervous system excitement symptoms, such as restlessness, irritability, insomnia, convulsions or heart rhythm disorders. (2) When diuretics such as hydrochlorothiazide and triamterene are used with this product, it may reduce the amount of this product cleared by the kidneys, resulting in increased blood drug concentrations and toxic reactions.
