Function and Efficacy
This product is a macrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces mycarofaciens. It works by acting on the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, hindering the synthesis of bacterial proteins, and is a growth-stage antibacterial drug. Its antibacterial properties are similar to those of erythromycin, and it shows strong antibacterial effects on Gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasmas, and also has antibacterial effects on some Gram-negative bacteria such as Neisseria meningitidis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Appearance
This product is a sugar-coated tablet or a film-coated tablet, which appears white or off-white after removing the coating.
Indication
It is mainly suitable for respiratory tract infections and skin, soft tissue and bile tract infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, etc., and can also be used for Mycoplasma pneumonia.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 0.8-1.2g per day for adults, 30-40mg/kg per day for children according to body weight. Take in 3-4 doses.
Adverse Reactions
1. Hepatotoxicity: At normal doses, the hepatotoxicity of this product is relatively low, mainly manifested as cholestasis and temporary elevation of serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, which can generally be restored after discontinuation of the drug. 2. Allergic reactions: Mainly manifested as drug fever, drug rash and urticaria. 3. Occasionally, gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal discomfort, and loss of appetite may occur.
Precautions
Patients who are allergic to this product and macrolide drugs are contraindicated.

Drug Interactions
This product can inhibit the normal metabolism of theophylline. When used in combination with theophylline, it can cause an abnormal increase in theophylline blood concentration and lead to poisoning or even death. Therefore, theophylline blood concentration should be monitored when the two drugs are used in combination.
